Brian Wethers was a top five recruited basketball athlete in California and among the top 25 nationally in 1999. Brian Wethers attended the University of California Berkeley from 1999-2003 under the head Coach Ben Braun. Brian started all four years and averaged 15.1 points and 4.4 rebounds. Brian still holds the record for most points scored by a Golden Bear in the NCAA tournament game (27 points).  

After college Brian participated in many pre-draft workouts, including the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors. He was projected to be a 2nd round draft pick and go on to play in the NBA. His workouts were cut short after he tore his Achilles tendon while working out with the Golden State Warriors.

Brian started his professional career playing in various countries around the world. Brian has played in such countries as: China, Australia, France, New Zealand, Germany, Ukraine, Lebanon, The Philippines, Finland, Lithuania, Uruguay, Argentina and more.  Brian played 10 successful years professionally overseas and retired from professional basketball in 2011.

Brian Wethers continued his passion for basketball as a Head Coach. Brian was the Head Coach for Calvary Murrieta from 2011-2013. Brian was able to lead a team with a previous record of 0-14 to a winning season. In 2013 Brian accepted the Head Coaching position at Linfield Temecula where he expects his experience and great leadership skills to make Linfield basketball successful in CIF. 

 

Wethers Elite Training Basketball (WET) is owned and operated by Brian Wethers.

 

Our goals are simple. We provide an environment for student athletes to learn, develop, improve their basketball skills and IQ on a regular basis. By providing this type of atmosphere, each player will have the essential tools to encourage social, mental, emotional, and athletic maturity. Wether's Elite Training's goal is to ensure a highly competitive atmosphere for athletes to prepare them for the next level.

 

 

 

Mr. Landon is a Valley High School (Santa Ana Ca) graduate, class of 1988 with a business and accounting background, He majored in Business at Cerritos College.  He  currently  owns and operates an Accounting & Payroll Firm in Temecula  for the past 24 Years. (Wagner Tax Bookkeeping & Payroll). With roots in the LA and Orange County area and now Southwest Riverside County he has offices in Bellflower  California as well as Temecula. Mr. Landon has been involved in coaching and has run  the business & marketing aspect of Travel & Club level Basketball programs since 2004.  He has coached in & run the business affairs of three different Travel &  Club Basketball Programs ( J-Pro Temecula, Extreme Hoops Murrieta, Wethers Elite Basketball currently). His most recent coaching position was the  Varsity Assistant Coach for Calvary Murrieta High School from 2011-2013 alongside Brian Wethers.

COACHES/TRAINERS

Ryan Shrader played basketball four years at Murrieta Valley High School, and was honored with the Mr. Hustle award his junior year. His senior year, he won the award a second time, and MVHS named the award after him. The Bulldog Award is given out every year to the Nighthhawk player who works the hardest and is not afraid to leave it all on the court. 
After high school, Shrader found his passion in changing other peoples' lives through fitness and nutrition. For 15 years he has worked as a personal trainer, nutritional and wellness coach for clients seeking basic weight loss or gain, recovery from injuries and even management of serious disease. His certifications include NASM, ACE, AFPA, ASFA. 
"One of my most rewarding clients was when in 2009 I trained/rehabbed Brian Wethers from a possible career ending injury (broken Tibia) and helped him regain his athleticism in half the time it usually takes to overcome that type of injury," Shrader said.
That year, Wethers went on to win New Zealand's professional National Basketball League scoring title and bring home a championship for his team. 
"I love working with athletes and value this opportunity to make them the best they can be not only on the court, but for the rest of their lives," Shrader said.

 

Coach C.J. Richardson is a Murrieta Valley High School graduate, class of 2001. He lettered 3 years in basketball. A point guard, Richardson received First team All-Valley, First team All-Southwestern league, and All-Riverside County honors as a junior and senior. Richardson played 2 seasons at Clark college in Vancouver, Wa where he averaged 20 ppg, 6apg, 2 stls, 3 rbs. He was named all NWACC as well as team MVP both seasons. Richardson then attended Portland State University before ending his collegiate career with an ankle injury. Richardson has since played semi-pro basketball in the IBL  (International Basketball League) with the Vancouver Volcanoes. He is currently a trainer and coach for WET Basketball.

Four year Basketball starter at Murrieta Valley High School. Spent one year as JUCO redshirt at Riverside Community College. Enlisted in the USAF with ten years' service and four tours in Afghanistan/Iraq. Daniel played 8 seasons for AF Military Basketball in the U.S and Overseas.  Daniel won four Military Regional Championships and an invitee to the All Air Force Basketball Team Camp to train for the Armed Forces Championships. 


Daniel's past coaching and training includes Vandenberg AFB Head Men’s Head Basketball Coach. Coached against teams from PAC West Military Basketball Conference, National Military Championship, California Junior College, Semi Pro Summer League and Exposure Camps. Spent last few years as Personal Basketball Trainer and Head Basketball Coach of AAU basketball program in Riverside, CA. Daniel has a BS in Criminal Justice from Park University.

Adnan attended North Central High School in Indianapolis, IN where he played along side

of NBA basketball player Eric Gordon. During his high school basketball career his team

was one of the best in the country, gaining national recognition.

 

Adnan was recruited to play at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. In Adnan’s first year

at Lipscomb he made the Atlantic Sun All­Freshman team, averaging 8.9 points and 4.3

 

rebounds per game. Adnan became a dominate force in the conference as a Sophomore,

 

averaging 16.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game and making the First Team All-

Conference. In Adnan’s junior season he became not only a dominate force in the Atlantic

 

Sun conference, but also in the entire NCAA Division I basketball. Adnan averaged 22.7

 

points, ranking second in the nation, and 9.1 rebounds. Adnan also proved himself to be

 

one of the most efficient players in the NCAA, having the best field goal percentage in the

 

nation at 60.4 percent. In this same year his team went on to when the Atlantic Sun

 

Conference Regular Season Championship and received the Atlantic Sun Conference

 

Player of the Year and AP honorable mention All­American. Being known as one of the

 

most dominant post players in the nation, Adnan received NBA attention which resulted in

 

him entering his name in the 2010 NBA draft. However, Adnan chose to withdraw his

 

name and finish his college career. As a senior Adnan averaged 17.7 points, 7.5

 

rebounds, and 1 assist. Adnan finished his career making the First Team All­Conference

 

three years in a row and setting the record at Lipscomb University for the most career

 

points, in the NCAA Division I era, with 2,002 points.

 

After a standout college career, Adnan continued on to a professional career. He was

 

invited to play for the Bosnian National team and afterwards started his first professional

 

season with the Tubingen Walter Tigers in the German BBL for the 2011­2012 season.

 

There he averaged 8.8 points and 4.1 rebounds. He continued to Switzerland to play for

 

BBC Monthey in the 2012­2013 season, where he averaged 15.9 points, 5.9 rebounds,

 

and 1.4 assists. He was recognized on the Switzerland LNA All­Import team. In the 2013­

 

2014 season, Adnan played for Al Arabi in Qatar’s 1st Division. Here Adnan averaged a

 

career high of 20.3 points and 10.2 rebounds, making the Qatar Division I All­Import

 

Team as the 5th in scoring and 7th in rebounds in the league. Adnan is currently playing

 

for Aries Trikalla in Greece.
