 What is the commitment I make when I sign up for a season of play or a team?

 

Wethers Elite Basketball Program offers competitive teams year round for 3rd-8th graders.  We break our year into 4 seasons for this age group.  A solid team will usually have 2  practices per week with either a league game or tournaments played at least twice a month.  The months of each season are roughly as follows:

 

Fall: Sept - December

Winter: Jan - March

Spring: April-June

Summer: July - August

 

 

 What makes Wethers Elite different from other clubs in the area?

 

Wethers Elite is in its 4th Year. Our program continues to be molded into the best program it can possibly be as we have lean from our experiences  we are always developing our craft into the highest level of professional development we can. We want to attract the very best athletes and in order to do that our staff of professional coaches must hold ourselves to the highest standards. While Playing the game and success in games is an important aspect, it is not the only measuring stick. The true test and potential of our program, is the long term progressive development of our Players by professional coaches that teach high level Basketball & Life Skills.

 

 

 Who coaches the teams?

 

The Wethers Elite coaching staff are the very best in their field.  The coaches are carefully screened and proven before they are coaching one of our teams. Each of our coaches have played the game at the Professional and Collegiate level.  Each bring a unique basketball background and have played the game at a high level.   All of our coaches participate in a weekly coaches meeting and are constantly given feedback on their performance. Each coach has served as an assistant coach and is highly qualified to be given a head coaching position.

 

 

 What ages does the Wethers Elite Program serve?

 

Wethers Elite has teams from 3rd grade all the way through Senior's in high school.  3rd-8th grade teams are offered year round,  High School Travel Teams are offered in the Spring and Summer only.

 

 

 What is the difference between Wethers Elite Travel Teams and League Teams?

 

Wethers Elite Travel teams compete in league one to two times per year.  these teams are usually the same teams that travel but are just entered into a league instead of a single weekend tournament.

 

 

 How does the Tentative Annual schedule work?

 

The "Tentative Schedule" works as it sounds.  Through our experienced staff Wet prepares a basic tentative schedule of the tournaments we intend to compete in throughout the year with special notes on the differences between Elite and non-ranked tournaments.  Our basic structure is to offer at least 2 tournaments per month. 

 

 

 What Level of teams does Wethers Elite provide?

 

Due to the fact that Wethers Elite is a highly discipline program,  with high expectations and serious coaching, our progressive training development is geared toward high level teams and players.  We do offer lower level teams when the need arrives,

but these athletes are also serious competitors that want to excel quickly and work hard to move up. Our program level is for focused athletes & parents who understand the need and purpose of high expectations in order to elevate ones game.
